About the Author

Andrea Pippins is an illustrator and author who has a passion for creating images that reflect what she wants to see in art, media, and design. Her work has been featured in Essence Magazine, The New York Times, and O: The Oprah Magazine. She has produced artwork for brands such as ESPN, Five Below, Instagram, Sephora, Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, Malala Fund, Nick Jr., USPS and VH1. Andrea is the author of several books and journals for young readers about community and creativity, and the illustrator of Young, Gifted and Black; Step Into Your Power; and Big Ideas for Young Thinkers. Andrea is based in Stockholm.

About the Author

Nick Pachelli, an award-winning journalist, photographer, and producer, was raised on hot, cracked tennis courts in New Mexico. He played the junior circuit and was among the top-ranked singles and doubles players in the Southwest before stopping short of a college tennis career. He eventually returned to tennis competition and plays adult tournaments and leagues domestically and abroad. His work has appeared in the New York TimesEsquireVogue, the Guardian, and ESPN, among other outlets. Find him on Instagram at @nickpachells.
